Ever heard the version by Boiled in Lead? Absolutlely brilliant!
(An so much more "Russian")

I know the pop disco one from the 70's and love it; it is impossible to find, I find. Is the "more Russian" one just as catchy? (Probably harder to find....)

probably rasputin"s soul is trapped in this song which is still after ages so haunting!

The Boiled in Lead version (from their album "Antler Dance") is
very different to the original Boney M version.
While it's almost instantly recognisable as the same song, it is in a much more Russina-Folk-Rock style with heavy guiatrs and fiddle playing, as well as extraordinary vocals. Like I say - 'more Russian'...
There's also a version on their newer "20 years of Rock & Reel" album - see www.omnium.com
