What I want to know is: where are these pubs where you can drink and watch football on a Sunday morning? Obviously not in Britain, where in yet another act of oppression perpetrated by the Christian minority, the pubs have to stay shut until noon on that day.

No such law in the US, my friend. The earliest opening pubs that I know of around here open their doors around 10:00 am, which coincides directly with the kickoff time of the early games.

I'm sure that's true, GB, but before the end of this year you have to choose between two self-proclaimed Born Again Christians in your Presidential election. And if Bush wins then (given American culture's global influence) then may some passing deity or other help us all.

That's why I'm casting my vote for Harry Browne of the Libertarian Party. He hasn't a snowball's chance in hell of winning, but at least when one of those right-wing nuts starts screwing up the country, I can take a break from packing for my escape to Australia long enough to yell, "I told you so!"
