i believe that would be a notable omission from your list...considering the so called 'jam' genre has reached heights not dreamed by those classic figures with the band phish, who succesfully blend the rock, and psycedelia of those people, with the musical technique and adeptness and improvisational style of jazz... i would go on more, but i think ill write a more cohernt entry on it soon...
