A Conversation for Whitstable, Kent, UK

Post 1

Who'd have thought it? An entry on little old Whitstable.

Harbour Street - only bother going down if you're a tourist because the only shops left are ones no local would want to buy anything from.

Whitstable Oyster Fisheries - kinda controversial issue around here.

Incidently, certain restaurants don't bother to advertise that if you don't go at the correct time of year the oysters served are not from Whitstable.

The cinema - absolutely fantastic, best place ever to go and watch a film.

Fish slapping dance - I thought it's pagan origins were a few years ago because someone though it was a good idea (ever seen Monty Python?)

Pubs - many are great and still unspoilt by developers trying to make them trendy.

To cut a long story short, I love the place. Thanks for mentioning it. smiley - biggrin
