A Conversation for 'Calvin and Hobbes' - the Comic Strip
Uncle Ghengis Started conversation Jun 10, 2003
My sons (aged 6 and 7) have adopted Calvin as a role-model. Rather worrying really, isn't it... But we do laugh when the enter the kitchen wearing a cardboard box saying: "Greetings earthling! Our planet is dying, we need cookies to survive. Do not try to resist!..."

You mean that's a scam?

Calvin and Hobbes are a great role model compared to some other cartoons . The strip has just the right amount of touching, sentimental storylines that it can be a very positive strip.
There was a strip where Calvin finds a dead bird and contemplates mortality. The strip ends without dialogue, with Calvin and Hobbes just sitting against a tree thinking. It's quite poignant.

Due to a mix-up over this being an update rather than a fresh entry, this has been moved to the other Edited version where the update now lives. Many thanks.
