A Conversation for Ringo Starr MBE - Musician
Alfredo Started conversation May 12, 2007
Being born in 1951 the music of the Beatles really uplifted me.
In those days - around 1966 - we embraced their music, except one..........
We all skipped (with love) Ringo's songs when we listened to their Long Plays.
Worst of all - Octopus's Garden
His best - Yellow submarine.
But The Beatles as a group of close friends were also a big part of their succes. Ringo had not any ambition of rivalry with John and Paul and was a perfect mediator.
He became famous because of his humor.
And according to Dylan, he had the impression that Ringo was on top of their hierarchy.
Greetings from Amsterdam
