I wonder if it was this Jackson that inspired the rather wonderful Sixties hit song "Jackson" by Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazlewood? It's about a couple who married in haste and are now beginning to repent at leisure, with lyrics something like: "We got married in a fever/Hotter than a pepper sprout/We've been talkin' about Jackson/Ever since the fire went out..."

Probably is. Jackson had some good music in the 50's and 60's. It even had a recording studio. Jackson's been mentioned in a suprising number of pop songs from the 60's and 70's, but they were usually about rednecks.
