A Conversation for Perfect Numbers

I am getting slightly better at maths now reading some of these articles. I must say I find perfect numbers pretty useless, preferring to think about the structure of mathematics. In fact I dislike number theory because some of its hardest questions are easily stated.
In the past I used to be really really good at maths, but a brain injury put paid to that, and now I'm using these discussion forums to sharpen up a bit.Oops,
sorry to have bored you.
You could have added a simple proof of N=M(M+1)/2:
Divisors M,2M,4M,...2^(n-2)M, 1,2,4,....2^(n-1)
aHH! its that font again.
Maybe its not so easy to type in.
