I was always told that my AB+ blood was needed because of it's rarity but by this Guide Entry it doesn't seem to say it's all that useful? 
Anyway, I can't provide it anymore since I am on hypertension meds now. 
I did manage to get up to 21 pints before I had to stop, though. Got the wee pin to prove it!

I only made it up to 2 pints... My body doesn't like having blood removed 
I imagine that, in transfusions, they like to match blood types as far as possible, so an AB patient needing blood should ideally receive AB. As this is rare, AB donors are still valuable
