The French mostly good but aggressive drivers. My advise first: Don't bring your RHD UK car to drive on an extended basis. Hire a car in France with Left Hand Drive. It is extremely dangerous to overtake someone on the left, as is normal on the Continent, with a vehicle that has running gear on the right side. Your vision is conciderably block by being on the other side.

In addition, the following is essential especially in Paris:
Always, when in an inexorably long queue of cars, stalled in heavy traffic with movement impossible, honk your horn as often as you can. This will not move the congested mass any faster, of course, but you will be annoying passers-by on the streets and in shops on the boulevard. This is small satifactions, but, get it where
you can.

When driving in small villages streets at night, drive as fast as humanly possible. The squeal of tyres and a loud silencer also increase the ambiance.

Try not to drink more than 375ml of wine before stting out on your late evening journey.

Bon Voyage et Bon Chance mes amis!

Votre ami,

John 'leadfoot' Wax

P.S.: Keep it real.
