In a way. According to various sources, one third of the angels rebelled against God when He created humans, as they did not wish to bow to mortal beings. God cast these rebels, or Diabolicals as they were called, into Hell, but they weren't going to give up without a fight. Their leader, Lucifer, Archangel of Light, was beaten in combat by Michael, Archangel of War, who personally kicked Luci's red ass out Heaven's door. The other Diabolicals conceded this victory and lft. When in Hell, they found themselves changed, better suited to evil, and to this day they continue to plot their dark designs on humanity.
