Apollyon - Grammar Fascist

In the section on The Irish, this entry states that the Irish drink green beer on Paddy's day. This is not true - no true Irish person would ever drink green beer. Some pubs might serve it, but that is to steal money from drunk tourists.

We do, however, dye fountains green for the day.

Gnomon - time to move on

By the way, Rafferty's Motor Car is only 40 shades of green as a joking reference to the American-Irish song "The Forty Shades of Green" which is an appalling piece of kitsch that Irish people prefer to forget.
