What scientists *mean* by this, to clear this whole damn thing up, of course, is to say that the mass that was inside the big bang is currently expanding, and the diameter of that amount of mass is measurable. The infinite space in which it is expanding is not measurable, naturally. But there are likely to be infinitely more globs of mass which are called "universes" simply because that's the extent of our visibility. Not to imply there isn't anything outside of it, there may be, there may not be, but if you took a ship out there, then there would be. It'd be kinda hazardous, though. You'd need a map.

please, do not mix your teachers incompetence and ignorance with those of the scientists!
We are very proud of our errors! Because it means we can step closer at the comprehension of Life, Universe and Everything.
The current interpretation of the finiteness of the Universe is that comparing it with Earth surface finiteness. We can attach a size to the observable Universe, because the theory has been succesfull to describe it. When new facts cannot be explained by it, we will have to research a new theory...
Remember that the evolution of life is tied to the age of Earth, not the Universe... And it seems to me that 5 000 000 000 years are long enough to evolve...

I am sorry but I dont believe in the big bang theroy, all matter just couldnt come from energy without SOME kind of instability. In a universe of pure energy, we will say equally spread over the whole thing, with no matter... WHERE DID THE DISTURBANCE COME FROM? Isaac Asimov may have said it best in his collection of short stories entitled "GOLD" Though I also dont really believe that time travel is possable either, so lets see... the only other possability is that everything was created, or since us humans are so limited in our thinking we cannot accept that there was never a beginning, everything has always existed, everything changing and moving according to the will of a higher power, everything changes to energy and matter soaks up the energy to produce new matter, a continuous cycle on and on. Like the water circle, contantly renewing the landscape, and pooling everything, there are to many variables we may never know...

A belief that everything was once created neatly demonstrates the limited thinking of human beings that you keep harping on about. A far greater imagination is needed to comprehend big bang theory than the idea of a grand benefactor making all these little planet and galaxy things.

You are obviously American, so I read with deepest sympathies the deluded nonsense you have felt the urge to write. Chin up though, and keep trying because if you write enough, one day you might say something of note.

I recant my previous statement that time travel is impossable, I dont believe it is impossible per se, I believe humans could never do it without higher knowledge. "All things are possable through God"

if u r still with me, then u can understand y the universe seems infinite.
it is just the same as how a circle seems infinite to a 1-d person, the universe also curls back on itself.
also, i cannot stand when people say dimension when they mean space or hyperspace: "he is in another dimension"
you can't b in another dimension because you are always in every dimension, albeit sometimes possessing a different coordinate on that dimension
also, all dimensions are perbindicular at all points, which does not make them straight lines.
they could just as easily be circles
