A Conversation for Sizzling Meals
Mexican fajita

Fajita in Mexico is a cut of meat - skirt steak ("faja" is Spanish for skirt) from the belly of a cow. It is a cheap cut of meat, and some consider it almost not meat as would be say sirloin, etc. It is great marinated and quickly grilled and put in tacos.
A taco is simply anything put in a tortilla.
By the way tortillas are normally used soft - toasted on a grill to puff them up them left to steam in a stack to soften and cook further (they are made of treated corn meal or flour). A taco is made by putting something in the tortilla, and folding it in HALF. Tortillas can be used like a utensil, for picking up and neatly eating any savoury food served.

actually "faja" is best described as a girdle - bad translation!
