I think that there must be a hidden message in the 6*9=42 (yes i know that it only looks like that in base 13).
If 6*9 can be 42 in base 13, then it must have been some sort of a mix-up.
Perhaps it's the number-version of the question and the answer.
What if we change 6*9 into "Why can 6*9=42?", then 42 would be "It depends on the circumstances, and in this case 6*9 is in fact 42, but only if you count in base 13."
This would mean that life, the universe, and everything depends on the circumstances.
What do you say, isn't this the best explanation?
(There is some truth in Douglas Adams' story, and in this. Life, the Universe, and Everything depends on the circumstances.

in that case any thing is possible. We should invent something to calculate the probability of something happining...but what should we call it ...I got it the probibility drive
