Y2K? The year 2000? Ironic, isn't it, that K is short for kilobyte. If you asked most people, they would say that 2K is two thousand(2000). Computer people, however, know the truth. A kilobyte is 1024 bytes, therefore 2K would be 2048 bytes. Since we are applying this to the year, Y2K is really the year 2048. Since the Y2K bug applies to computer, it is only natural to accept 2048. Diabolic, isn't it? Moreover, we will have to wait until the year 2048 to discover that our computers will not work. And we all know that it will happen. It is.....Y2K.....
