Fictional deity?

Why does this page describe the FSM as a fictional deity? Does the BBC's mentions of other deities describe them as fictional?
The whole point of the FSM is that it is no more or less provably true or untrue than other religions, and to label it as fictional misses the point.

How dare you mock my religion! I have been a Pastafarian since I was 13, and never have I seen any conclusive proof for other religions, therefore Pastafarianism must be the one true religion

Ir is a good point. The word 'fictional' is redundant. The FSM is a deity.
