Just before the Transfiguration....

... and after his Resurrection, Jesus manifested himself to his disciples.
"Prove it" Thomas said, unconvinced.
"OK" said Jesus. "Let you and I go for a stroll on the sea"
(Note anyone other than Jesus might have said "by the sea")
So off they went and took a boat and lo! Jesus did climb out andbeckoned Thomas to follow him.
Thomas, amazed, walked on the surface of the water and around the boat to where he saw Jesus - slowly sinking with the classic "Oh, $hit" look on his face.
Thomas hastily pulled him to safety and sprinted to the safety of the shore.
"I knew you weren't Jesus!" he exclaimed, triumphantly. "The real Jesus walked on the water with Peter - isn't that right Pete? - and didn't sink!"
"Oh yeah?" said Jesus "Last time I didn't have these damn great holes in my feet, buddy!"
