I don't know if it's just me, but marmite on toast goes really well with coffee, especially if it's spread really thickly.

Marmite on toast? Could be the yeast being involved in a chemical reaction with the caffeine...or it could be that you have strange tastes 
What I want to know is, why is it that when I have a coffee and a chocolate iced donut, I feel twice as good as when I have a coffee and then a donut separately? I'll do some experiments and let you know the results *hehe*
