Liquor Licenses

Post 1

It's worth noting that the purchase of take-home alcohol varies between states and territories.

In the ACT, take-home alcohol cannot be sold after 11pm, and must be sold from a different place to the licensed establishment.

In NSW (over the border smiley - smiley take-home alchohol cannot be sold after midnight, but can be sold from licensed premises. (Which is good since the bottleshops usually close earlier than midnight.)

So if you ever need a bottle of something between 11pm and midnight in the ACT, head over the border to Queanbeyan, stop at the pub on the main street and you'll be right.
