Thought you might like to know about the largest recorded regular LARP event.
The Gathering is held in the north of England once each year, and attracts over 3000 gamers for a full weekends gaming - how is that for large scale!

large indeed!
down here we host relatively small scale LARPs (10-15 players) that, descriptions suggest, are more intense plot/character-wise
I found a 30-player soap opera "freeform" LARP recently - I'll post the URL as soon as I find it again...

I play Amtgard here in the US. Oddly enough Amtgard's largest yearly event is called "The Gathering of the Clans" and draws about 1000 role players to southern New Mexico, USA.
