[YK] Oop. There's the professor.

Right. Carry on.

[Mackenzie] Oh, hi, Professor.

tome? TOME? ... well, okay, sometimes I do get carried away. All right, all right - I OFTEN get carried away. But admit it now, they're not bad, are they?

*GL explores. Dark. Remembers Frotz spell. Glows. Finds steps. Goes down. In sewer/labarinth.*

*Looks briefly at YK and Mackenzie to say hi, and turns back to look at the holo-map.*

What the...? OK, GL's just vanished. He just blinked off the map, gone. Either he teleported, found a time warp, shot upwards out of the building - which I seriously doubt - or he went down.
I will admit that the latter possibility is more likely.

*After swiping his hand at the hologram to make it vanish, he runs into the house, and calls everyone else in the building to the small room where Garius found the secret door.*

This is the room closest to where he last was. I assume there's a way through these walls? You lot are better at figuring these sort of things out than me.

[YK] Hm ... this cupboard ... [examines the wooden back wall of the cupboard and finds a small knothole near the floor. He puts his finger in the hole and pulls.] Bingo!

Erm... I rest my case. smiley - winkeye

*The Professor peers into the blackness.*

It's a bit dark.

*His Watch beeps and illuminates the room beyond.*

*GL walks down the passageway and comes to a junction. Thinking that he may want to find his way back, he searches his pockets for something to drop. He finds a package of tictacs and drops one before moving on down a random passageway. At each junction, he drops another tictac.

Either that will help me find my way back, or else Athens will have the freshest-breathed rats in the ancient world.

[YK] Look, a tictac! [follows the path that the tictac is on]

*Follows, lighting up the passage ahead.*
*He digs in one of his many coat pockets, and pulls out a packet of orange tictacs, just because he's hungry.*

I heard a noise! GL can't be too far ahead!

* Peet enters the house, followed by the now scrabbling bundle. After many diversions and wrong turns, he finds himself in the passage system, where he can hear various others moving ahead...

*GL hears noises behind him and, fearing pursuit by guards, begins to run. He takes several turnings and suddenly finds himself at a dead-end. In the end wall is a heavy wooden door, which proves to be locked. GL, frantic now due to the approaching footsteps, triggers the blade at the end of his cane. It snaps out and GL inserts it between the door and the frame opposite the lock. He wiggles it, while looking over his shoulder. Just as the approaching figures are about to reach the last corner, the lock clicks and the door opens inwards. GL falls through and lands on a thick carpet, unfortunately bonking his head on something hard along the way. Just before he blacks out, he notices a strong smell of incense.*

* Peet catches up with Affy and MacKenzie... The bundle is a long way behind, as it keeps stopping to eat the small minty treats that litter the corridors.

No. Somewhere in there, YK went inside, and he's the one who pulled the secret door open.

Don't look at me! He must've heard the distant thud mentioned in Post #226! Maybe he snuck inside while we weren't looking!

*And suddenly, for some unknown reason, freak wormholes open up, and everyone except GL is instantly teleported to the door that GL is behind*

Well, now. That was surprisingly convenient....

*Affy looks behind, seeing that the dinosaurish thing hasn't quite gotten to the last tick-tack*

Okay, that was the last tik-tak. No more, so let's assume that GL is behind this door.

*Affy tries the handle, which turns smoothly*

Well, that's promising,....
