*Three small, overlapping spheres of energy form, and hang in the air for a few moments. Then, a figure falls out from them, wearing the outfit of a Roman diplomat*
Okay, coast clear. Small hilltop in ancient Greece.
*Affy checks his watch*
Yep, right on time....now, where are the others?

Afgncaap5 Posted May 7, 2001
Well, so'm I. Why even bring up where you are? We all went to the same time, after all.
*Affy double-checks his watch, just to verify that he is, in fact, in 33 BC*

*GL falls out of the sphere, rolls and leaps to his feet, peering in all directions. He relaxes when he sees only friends.*
So this is 33BC, is it? What is that glinting in the sunlight, way off in the distance?
*GL points to a hill top far away. On the top of the hill is something brilliantly white. Surrounding the hill is a grey and white mass with few trees.*
Hey! I think it is a city, and the white thing is some sort of structure.

*The Professor then appears in soldier's uniform in the same fashion, deciding it best to use Affy's time travel device rather than his own, to relieve any confusion.*
*He looks around.*
Ah yes, the good old days, these.
Watch, respond.
*No sound comes from his Watch, but it replies by sending a quick tingle of energy up the Professor's arm.*
Good. Just needed to check it wouldn't speak out in these times. If anyone found our technology, history would change...
*He flicks his fingers, and a spear appears in his right hand. He then quickly has a few spear-usage tips implanted in his mind, and he's ready.*

Okay, we're all here. Let's get started. GL, you've got a good eye. We need to move through that city to get to where we're travelling. We want a small hut that's hidden in a secret glade not too far from the other side of the city. That's where we'll find our kidnapee.

Minos Krylma, still studying in the ways of peace and prosperity, looking forward to the day that he can peacefully rule the Krylma in a cooperative effort with the Atlanteans as they all attempt to bring about worldwide peace and harmony by influencing the leaders of other Earth nations in secret, and then to someday be an ambassador to the alien-signals that his father picked up in the primary labs of the Krylma.
It's really shocking. Little does Minos know it, but he will, over the next few years, become injured in such a way that will force him to embrace the technology that many are hesitant to acknowledge, the technology that would allow his genes to be spliced. Over time, he will grow more experienced in the ways of the world and, by association, evil. He will grow darker and gloomier, and his missions of peace will turn to darker missions of mild conquest and glory, causing more damage to his already harmed physical self. Eventually, he will look almost like a reptile to the naked eye, and will embark on one of the most horrific and life-changing experiences that anyone on this planet has ever had to face.
Don't ever tell him that I told you that, by the way. While we were symbiotes, we traded many stories, and bound each other to secrecy. He's never told any of my dark histories, and I thank him for that. I, meanwhile, must compromise for the greater good. Don't harm him in any way. He doesn't deserve it. Still doesn't....
All of this info, and more, are slowly being revealed in real-life copyrighted sessions. The original author of Minos Krylma's life story is permitting this small portion to be displayed on h2g2.

[YK] Okay. This should be interesting.
[Mackenzie] What did he say about me? If anything?
CLI Time Travel Mission-33 BC
Chris Tonks Posted May 8, 2001
Ah, the tragic turning of one man to evil. Sad how evil geniuses come about, isn't it?
Still, I wasn't going to hurt our kidnapee anyway. And don't worry - I've only ever discussed things with KL once, and that had me virtually swindled. I'm not after another conversation with him, apart from one during which I could exact my revenge in a not-so-brutal way. But that's with the present-day KL, not this one...

Afgncaap5 Posted May 8, 2001
Tonks, revenge doesn't suit you, or anyone else. Two wrongs don't make a right, after all.
In any event, let's be off. Minos will probably come to search CLI as soon as he finishes celebrating. We don't have much time to waste.
*Affy heads towards the city*

*Follows.*
Ah, but revenge suits me just fine.
I took out my revenge on the Morphs all those years ago for the torment they had caused in the Universe. And nothing bad resulted in my revenge either. The Morphs that I last battled were from another Dimension, and weren't retalliating on their brethren's behalf...
When KL visits CLI, will he be able to find out where we've gone? Oh, I guess you left the time portal open...

*Head off towards the city with the others. Notes how the group looks like a diplomat with a military escort. As they get closer, GL suddenly recognises the white thing on the hill.*
Hey! Guys! That's the Acropolis. And it's not in ruins, either!
Man, look at the line-up, though.

Chris Tonks Posted May 8, 2001
*Whistles.*
Sweet.
I've haven't personally visited this age before, so I'd best not waste my, heheh, time here. Watch, take a holoscreening of this place.
*Several probes zoom off in various directions, completely undectectable by any Greek or Krylma technology. Or sight or hearing for that matter.*
Just out of interest, you see.

[YK] Is the Colosseum still around? [pronounces it "CAH-luh-SEE-um"]
[Mackenzie] It's pronounced Coh-LOSS-e-um.
[YK] Whatever.
CLI Time Travel Mission-33 BC
Afgncaap5 Posted May 9, 2001
Tonks, don't underestimate Krylma technology. Keep in mind that they're already several centuries ahead of modern man in many areas of science. How do you think Minos has lived as long as he has? Magic?
*Affy continues walking*
Still, a little sight seeing shouldn't hurt us too much. We've got a few millenia of time to waste before KL returns to the labs, after all.
*Affy considers the different areas to travel to*
I wonder if the Elysian Fields are taking tourists?
CLI Time Travel Mission-33 BC
Dizzy H. Muffin Posted May 9, 2001
[YK] Howabout the Colosseum?
[Mackenzie] ... You pronounced it right the first time.
[YK] D'OH! Er, /is/ the Colosseum still around?
