You've tried the rest .... this one really is the best.
The Karachi is noted on the bradford website (http://www.bradford.gov.uk) as the first Bradofrd curry house
"In the 1950s when workers first came to work in the
textile mills, they left families, wives (and home cooking!),
8,000 miles away. Plain street-corner cafes sprang up to
serve them the food of Lahore or Bombay. A place to
meet before the night-shift, to reminisce in a gloomy
English winter. Title of "First in Bradford" is disputed, but
believed to be "The Karachi". The Bradford Asian
Restaurant was born, authentic food, atmosphere,
affordable prices, the start of a success story ... and
nowadays at the heart of thriving family communities. "

Damn ... some weird combo of keystrokes submitted that article before I had finished (sorry)
Located handily for a meal after a day out at the film and television museum (http://www.nmsi.ac.uk/nmpft/), the Karachi is a basic curry house. No alcohol. Excellent food (very cheap[1]). Not much choice for veggies (a pity). And the mango lassi is out of this world.
Try it - you won't be disappointed. I recommend the chicken muglai.
[1] The starter comes free. And the first time I ate there, 3 of us had 3 courses and the total bill came to £11:25!
