h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I was a founder member of a band called Murphy's Law in the UK - not to be confused with the punk (I think) USA band. Almost immediately it became clear that none of us entirely liked working with any of the others, and there was a long string of incidents involving gear accidentally left at home, things falling apart and so on. Most gigs included forgotten words and tunes and a degree of random spontaneous performance failure. Finally, the band split up. I was convinced that this had proved the foolishness of calling ourselves Murphys Law until someone pointed out that all bands are like this. Nevertheless I think my next band will be called The Perfectly Organised And Reliable Band - just to be on the safe side.
