Does home-made play dough have the same lovely smell as Play-Doh?

Haven't made any, so I don't actually know, but I can't see anything on the ingredients list that would make it smell like that.
However, my girlfriend has a perfume that smells like play-doh, and that's supposed to be vanilla based, so possibly adding a little vanilla extract to the mix might do the trick?

I should hope not, vanilla extract smells nothing like commercial Play-Doh.

The home made version does have the same classic smell, though a little milder.
