I had the priviledge of being best man at my mates wedding. I did get extremely nervous during the speech, and ended up winging it and not saying all that I wanted to.
As I wasn't in a relationship at the time, I made every effort to chase the bridesmaids at the reception. Suffice it to say that that the champagne got the better of me, and I ended up being poured into the boot of my mates car.
I guess what I'm saying is prepare properly for any official functions you may be asked to perform, don't drink too much, and do chase the bridesmaids.
