Jump starting positive earth cars

It's likely if you'r jumpstarting a positive earth car that the other car is negative earth. It's important that the 2 cars are not touching! I can't imagine why they would be, but people are strange sometimes.
It's also worth noting that it's safest (where the earths match) to connect to the charge live terminal, then the flat terminal, then the charged earth, then the flat earth. It reduces the risk of sparking igniting battery gases (hydrogen - very combustible).
