If someone holds a gun to your head and forces you to drink tea from a tea bag, the last thing you want to do is squeeze tea out of the bag. The powdered tea in a tea bag is cut so fine that if you squeeze the bag with any amount of force, it will push small tea bits into your cup. Gentle bobbing the bag up and down in your cup is the best way to speed the process, however you are probably best letting it steep for a few extra minutes if you really need it strong.
