A Conversation for Adrian Mole - Fictional Diarist
Great, comprehensive review

I really appreciated this article.
I had read the first two Adrian Mole books when I was thirteen or fourteen years old. I didn't think as much of the second book, and was quite disappointed when I read some of the later installments as an adult. In my mind, Adrian Mole was supposed to be an eternal teenager, always chasing after Pandora.
Your review, however, suggests that there may be more to the series than I had originally thought. I was not aware of the political/social commentary aspects of the Adrian Mole series, and will perhaps want to re-read the books with an eye towards examining this angle.
I vaguely recall the television series (which aired on PBS when I was five or six, and again when I was thirteen). I'm excited to hear it is at least available on VHS, even though as a relatively new owner of a DVD player I tend to favor DVD's nowadays.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
