I had no idea one of my favourite salads was so hardy and could be harvested for so long, will have to try and grow it myself. Good entry!smiley - cheerup<-- some say it's a loobrush, but it might be lettuce, might it not?

Well, smiley - applause from hereabouts too. In olden days, the rich who made it a status symbol to eat only meat got scurvy - the poor peasants who had fresh greens (or sauerkraut) through the whole winter kept their teeth.
