I had no idea one of my favourite salads was so hardy and could be harvested for so long, will have to try and grow it myself. Good entry!

I've not seen any in the shops over here yet, so I'll probably be growing my own before long.

from hereabouts too. In olden days, the rich who made it a status symbol to eat only meat got scurvy - the poor peasants who had fresh greens (or sauerkraut) through the whole winter kept their teeth.
