With the increase of phrase sampling being used in more recent songs I find that I hear the old phrase and then spend the next few days/weeks trying to remember the original song from which it was taken.
Recently spend days humming an instrumental phrase I'd heard on radio before working out that it came from a 1980s Communards song. Expecting folks to recognise "Doo de do do do, doo de do do do" is a bit optimistic. 
Until getting it sorted it just keeps on going round and round and round...

Actually, I think it's probably Bronski Beat - Small Town Boy, which was sampled by Supermode recently and called Tell Me Why. Aimi x

That's the one 
Thanks loads Aimi, it's one of those phrases that keeps going round but never quite resolving itself
