The Newsboys - the Band
Created | Updated Jan 28, 2002
The Newsboys are a Christian rock/pop band. Even for non-believers, their songs' solid morals apply to everyone. Newsboys is a five-member band. Their number has ranged from four to five members, and they've been around since 1988. They have just released their eighth album, titled Love Liberty Disco. This new album has a 1990s-rock feel, but also late 1970s and 1980s type of beat. Contrary to popular belief, the album is not really a Disco album (only one song is a disco song).
All of their lyrics have strong morals, and they avoid any anti-social ideas, profanity or negative aspects in any of their songs. This is a band the entire family can love, and a person of any age could listen to - their music is inventive, and their morals are wholesome, and should be taken to heart.

A Little History
The Newsboys have been featured in CCM, USA Today, and other prominent magazines and newspapers. They have won several prestigious awards, such as seven Dove Awards, ten Grammy nominations, a Nashville Music Award, and a Billboard Music Award.
