Vegetable Racks
Created | Updated Aug 4, 2012
Vegetable racks fulfil the three main criteria for rotting vegetables:
Free Flowing Air, which will turn the most respected carrot to a rubbery mess and spinach into limp disaster.
Sunlight, which turns potatoes green (especially new potatoes), and cabbages yellow.
Heat: it gets hot in the kitchen, and even you would eventually wilt under these conditions. The old fashion larder is also warm and cosy to vegetables, compared to a fridge.
Vegetable Racks should be banned as hazardous to the human race and the environment, not to mention that they are open to attack by invading fruit flies. Investing in a large and modern Larder Fridge (Ice Box to some) is the only way to ensure you lessen the effect.
