I'm not sure yet. I don't feel any different, obviously, but it will affect me in some, official, ways, should I want to spend an extended time in, or work in, Britain or the EU. I probably should have investigated that more deeply before I chose this over renewing residency. I wonder if my old NI number is still valid now, for instance? Not that I have any plans, or even thoughts about, going back. It'll be very odd visiting Britain and not being able to go through the UK citizens entrance. The green card allowed me to enter the US through the US citizens section, and those always move much more quickly.

I had to do both of those. Nearly didn't pass the test to show how well I can speak, read and write English. Boy, that was a tough one.

My voter card showed up yesterday. I guess I'd better start boning up on the 1001 senators, sheriffs, representatives, judges, propositions, mayors, councillors, school officials etc I'm supposed to vote for

It is a tough slough to find those you want to vote for, much easier to pick who you want to vote against!
Of course you may want to to vote against both, if there is no third party candidate you may leave the selection blank,
Do not forget about the many amendments to the local codes - these are often the most important of all.
