Stuff for me

Is this thing on?
Inevitably, whenever I spend time thinking about what to write about myself I come up with low-brow puns, peppered with lower-brow jokes, and with a few abysmal-brow references to bodily parts and natural fluids.
This time I won't do that
This time I will make an attempt to write something rich, textured, and meaningful.
With Oxford commas.
About moi...
I come from a small village named by a North American aboriginal tribe after their local coffee shop, located just north of a lake. It is a big lake, but small when compared to its neighbours. (Note spelling of the word "neighbours" for a hint as to my origin.) My family is of brogue-ish extraction and, except for my immediate co-conspirators/family, all still live where the grass is green, the mountains rugged, and the men wear skirts. Well, most of them actually don't wear skirts, except for on weddings, Rab's day, and highland games, and then only when their grannies make them.
I now live in the land of the rising sun while preparing for my hopefully painless re-entry into the world of academia. My significant other and I have returned to her birthplace to visit family, get work, go to graduate school, and eat lots of fish. In October of 2005, after writing my entrance exams, I hope to be building rocket ships or some part thereof. What may actually happen in October of 2005 after writing my entrance exams is unknown. I might be wearing a Winnie the Pooh costume at Tokyo Disneyland.
I enjoy hitting guitar strings in pleasing sequences, writing things onto writable surfaces, and standing on my head with no pants on. And I love rockets. And my wife. No wait, let me try that again.
And I love my wife. And rockets.
