One who calls himself "Bob"

Bob is not a nickname that one usually associates with people named David. In fact, most of the best-known Bob's in history entered this world as Roberts. Robert Barker, Robert Eubanks, and many other Bobs. It is also, despite what it seems, a requirement for Bobs to go on and become game show hosts. For example there was one Robert "Bob" Thurston who decided to earn his masters in music from FSU and create marching arrangements. From there the nickname stuck when I came in for day one of marching band at Wake Forest University and was asked by one of the drum majors, let's call him oh...say...Phil Hodes, if I were any realtion to this Bob Thurston. The rest is history.

The DC Series

It feels like very little of the guide originates from my side of the Atlantic (the left side, unless you're oriented the wrong way, which seems to be a personal problem). Even less of that seems to come about from the DC area. I've gravitated towards becoming a bit of the DC tour guide member, and I enjoy it, as the area is fun and vibrant. Here, then, is the DC series:

The DC Metro (The reference to Guiness is not mine, though the rest I claim)

The Mixing Bowl (A nasty nasty affair that should be avoided by tourists...and most locals for that matter)

Landmark Mall (This entry was consolidated into the Edited entry on shopping malls. This is my original work).

Works in Research:

The Woodrow Wilson Bridge (Or: wouldn't a draw bridge look nice here?)

The National Mall (Which is not of the shopping variety, unless you really like gift shops)
