New Weapon
Posted Jan 4, 2001
Apparently Britain is to provide the Euro Rabid Reactionary Force with a new weapon. The so-called "Thermoboring" weapon has been condemned as inhumane by human rights groups, but a Ministry of Defence spokesman today defended the development of the weapon, saying:
"Obviously the concept of firing Daily Telegraph editorials at an attacker sounds horrific, but we believe that after reading two paragraphs of William Hague's rantings on the Euro any potential invader will fall asleep, flee or turn round and invade Brussels, any of which can only be counted as desirable."

From the "it's a small world" department

A few weeks ago I emailed an American organ builder, Allen Organs, regarding rough costs for an instrument. I received a reply from a chap called Jeremy Meager in the UK. I once knew a chap called John Meager, an old friend from the International Organ Festival, and I asked Jeremy if he knew of him. It turns out that John Meager is his father - and I was at school with Jeremy - and John now lives only a couple of miles away.
