hi
I very much enjoyed reading mosquito history.
My dad,who was an armourer, used to wax lyrical about the aircraft.
he told me,which i did'nt believe at the time, that it was made of plywood.
the versatility: variety of ordnance, speed, range he spoke of in glowing terms. In retrospect now, this impresses me alot - as he was - I suppose,an expert.
He also told me,with some pride, the he worked on the same bench as 'cats-eyes' Cunningham and told of me the 'carrot/vitamin' propaganda

I am glad that you enjoyed it smiley - smiley And thank you for taking the time to stop by and tell me smiley - smiley Unfortunately I did not know anyone who worked with the Mossies, I just thought that the PhotoReccy one was one of the most beautiful things ever designed smiley - smiley Did your dad know it was propaganda at the time?

Hopefully your stopping by here is just what I need to get writing again smiley - smiley Cheers smiley - smiley and until later...

I think it was well after the war that he talked about details like 'carrots'!

I still remember being mesmerized by his explanation, in some detail, of the principals of 'synchronization' - bullets/propellers and how impressed my schoolfriends were when I regaled them with the technicalities !

Keep up the good work
smiley - cheers
