Hi <BB<
I've taken A87842965 to sub-edit, please go subscribe.
As it's such a long entry, I doubt this will be a speedy process, but if I hear any roars from behind those trees, or see some shimmering pools of air close by, I promise I'll get a move on

That's great news!
I've just noticed that at one point I wrote 'one of seven years and one of six, in the UK ' when by 'years' I meant episodes.

OK no problem, I've deleted the word "years" as there's no need to repeat "episodes" in the same sentence

These are Primeval's equivalent of red-shirted extras
I've added a footnote to that just in case there are any people reading who don't get the Star Trek reference (none of my family watch science fiction and that would make a whooshing sound as it shot over their heads)
A reference to non-regular crew members in Star Trek who were invariably bumped off during away missions.,

I have changed:
The concept Haines co-created with screenwriter Adrian Hodges was a series in which the dinosaurs and other creatures that he had built an international reputation for excellence in presenting would interact in a drama setting with actors, similar to his 2001 adaptation of The Lost World.
which was a bit of a mouthful, to:
Haines, who had built an international reputation for excellence in presenting, co-created with screenwriter Adrian Hodges a drama in which dinosaurs and other creatures would interact with actors, similar to his 2001 adaptation of The Lost World.

Good amendments both. I love those dog-handling special forces, who are told to guard the anomalies that dinosaurs spew out of, and so stand with their backs to the portals so that they're eaten. And that in one episode of Primeval, the anomaly detector alarm goes off and they send 20 troops off to investigate and in the next, when the same alarm goes off, none of them can be bothered to get out of bed and so only the main cast go along to make it more dramatic. No consistency whatsoever.

"One episode about sabre-tooth tigers" - I remember being taught that at school (that name) and it's now called just "sabre-toothed cat" because they've been found to be unrelated to tigers of today. It's proper name is "Smilodon" although you couldn't imagine it was a smiley-type creature there's a full-length skeleton here: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/ca/Smilodon_Skeleton.jpg
so would you prefer I change the text to "One episode about sabre-toothed cats" or "One episode about Smilodons"?

Took me a while to notice the
Although the animal discussed is not actually a type of tiger, it is still popularly called a 'sabre-tooth tiger'. Similarly, the animal correctly called an 'orca' is popularly known as a 'killer whale' despite being a type of dolphin and not a whale. A koala bear isn't a bear either, and there are lots more examples out there. Yes, it is scientifically wrong, but the names remain.
Just as a by any other name would still smell as sweet, hath not a sabre-toothed feline paws, senses, affections, passions? Prick one, does it not bleed? Tickle one, does it not roll on its belly? Wrong one, shall it not avenge?
'Primeval' isn't particularly correct, exaggerating the size of the animals depicted so they don't really match what is scientifically known. In the list about the series, I did call it a Smilodon (sabre tooth cat) to hopefully avoid confusion.

OK I'm done subbing, there were some instances where you capitalised Anomalies but the rest were lower case, and Philip/Phillip which I've fixed. Added a few more links. I've taken a liberty and added a footnote about William Shatner (in case any of your readers haven't a clue who he is) and linked to my Romances entry on him I hope you don't mind
I really wish I had time to write again, I notice you are basically keeping PR afloatI'll try to find some time to drop by PR this weekend

Looks good to me - feel free to press the button!
I decided to have a clear out of all the articles I've been working on. Once they're in Peer Review I stop writing them at home, so if they're in Peer Review they're out of the way, leaving me free to get everything ready for Christmas without distractions. Well, that's the idea anyway. I knew at the time that bombarding 7 things into Peer Review at the same time would inevitably mean any potential readers would be swamped and I'd be unlikely to get any comments (but part of me also wanted to show off)...

I'm impressed!
Magic button pressed and the Primeval team are once again on their way into the deepest, darkest reaches of h2g2 to await their turn on the FP

It gave me something to do when at home after my hospital visit. Christmas decorations are up, crossword is written - just have to write the Christmas cards and then I'll be able to get to work on the next article.
