I feel a bit better as I went out to a bookshop and then for a long leisurely lunch. Got rid of the cabin fever, I can tell you. The only thing that marred the day was the journey home. The bus was full and not one person got up to let me have their seat. Bristol bus drivers are renowned for their kamikaze driving technique and getting thrown around a bus at 9 months pregnant was not good. What was worse was that I finally got a seat when someone got off but 2 seconds later a pile of old ladies got on so I got up to offer my seat to one of them. All of the other people on the bus carried on sitting where they were until one girl offered up her seat. That girl then barged past me as if I was deliberatley blocking her way - obviously didn't realise that you cannot breathe in when you are this pregnant. She gave me a really filthy look and I nearly decked her. I feel totally exhausted now - and not a little pissed off that even that bus journey didn't cause my waters to break! Would have been just desserts for some of the people on that bus if it had happened then I can tell you! smiley - bigeyes

I don't usually expect special treatment as a pregnant woman - just on public transport!

That's awful - I can't beleive no one gave you a seat! smiley - yikes

Thank goodness you didn't fall over, you just don't need that at this stage, do you? Going out sounded good though, keeps you busy and a bit of a break from the house, and maybe stirs things up a little. smiley - winkeye

Shame you didn't manage to get in a dramatic "Oh my god, my waters have broken!" - maybe you should carry a bottle of water next time so you can do a good emulation of waters breaking, should someone piss you off? smiley - evilgrin

I will bear that in mind. I cannot believe how rude people are nowadays - I know there was a lot in the press about this sort of thing last week but I didn't pay it much notice - I assumed it was a fuss about nothing - but now I am not so sure. It is very sad how people have not learned any manners - or basic humanity.
