A little about me

Damn! another blank sheet of "paper" to fill.
OK, <VIEWER>, (Hi, 
, incidentally) your man is a scouser, currently avoiding writing his PhD thesis in rubbish (literally) at Manchester Uni.
For those want to know, I've spent most of my time studying rocks in a scientific stylee, which has culmulated in a PhD turning rubbish into compost and soil. 
When not being a sciencey-type-bloke, I tend to listen and play music;
Favoured music:

* Renaisance Instrumental (Especially English and Spanish)
(odd choices but I like them 
).

I can play the lute (reasonably well) and cittern (badly) and think that guitars are bricks with strings attached. One day I vow to write the definitive guide article on Tablature and show the staff notation hegemony that the method is not lazy and for simpletons

Have been allowed into the H2G2 Musicians Guild, but there is something up with my HTML version of this guide entry so imagine a badge, black, "Musicians" written above and "Guild" below, and a device made up of; a keyboard, fingerboard, stand, stereo, G and F clefs, a face, a saxaphone and a conductor, positioned around...
