I have just put my wee car into the local garage to be fixed, as it started playing up a few days ago?

The ABS & ESP lights both come on every time I get the car up to around 50 mph? Then the car begins to "judder" so bad that it feels like the engine is going to fall off?

Then, while I was looking through all its paper work, looking for the security code for the radio, (as they might have to disconnect the battery)I noticed that its MOT ran out a few days ago

Never did find the code either, and that means if the do disconnect the battery, I wont be able to listen to the radio any more???

So, here I am just sitting here,.......hoping

Well, its that time of the year again folks, where I go over to Leith and do my week on the HMY work party, which is coming up in the couple of weeks. I say work, but in my present condition I can only manage light work, such as polishing the bright-work and such.

That's what Ive done in the last 2 years that Ive gone, its not much really but the visitors seem to notice it, and they always like to chat away to us, about our days when we served on board.

This is going to be the best one yet, as the numbers have increased every year so far, and this year there will double the number of us Ex Yotties that attended the very first one, so that is encouraging!

I feel obliged to go really, as I only live thirty or so miles from the dock at Leith, where HMY has been sine being decommissioned. Some of the Yotties come from other countries, such as the USA and New Zealand, to attend, some come by car or fly up from all over Britain.

Which is amazing really, are our numbers are being depleted, as the years go by, yet we all remember them, as we talk about our time serving on board.

I will let you all know how things went, when I get back, that is, if anyone wants to know, either way.......watch this space

I cant believe that its been 30 years sine the Falklands war. I have been watching the anniversary TV documentaries recently, and the interviews with some of the veterans.

Another thought crossed my mind, if the same thing were to happen today, I wonder if we would have them means and re-souses to repeat it, after all the cut backs we have seen to our forces, especially the Royal Navy?

Any ideas on the matter fellow researchers.

Ever since my web browser Firefox updated, it has caused nothing but problems? After a lot of effort and searching I have discovered that its the AVG Tool Bar that is the problem.

Yet no matter how much I try I cant seem to delete it? I can see it there but all it will let me do is enable or disable it

So, to save any more is there anyone out there who can explain how to delete it, and please don't say follow the guide on Internet Explorer, as that does is send me round the houses

Well it took me 45 minutes just to get in here tonight? Then to add insult to injury, I was not allowed to post until I had Become a Member?

A bit of a surprise to me, especially after being a member for over 10 years now

Anyway, all sorted out now, and after checking all round, everything seems to be where it was before, so harm done there

Now that I am here, I was thinking it was about time I started to write some more snippets again, if there is room for them in that is?

Maybe sound things out first Eh? I hope all the rest of you managed to get in here OK, could let me know by a quick post in reply to this, take car one and all.
