Hey back
As you might have guessed from some of my recent postings things have reached breaking point with work, life, study etc, etc.
I cracked last Friday lunchtime and had to hold it together until I finished work and could get to the doctor (amazed that I got from the office to the surgery - 20 miles). I fell apart in front of the doctor - felt like I was unravelling. She was very good and gave 2 weeks off to start with.
Luckily I have a great family 
and a few considerate friends on h2g2 (you and kea
). I no longer want to do something stupid - I'm just really angry with work for pushing me this far and really angry with myself for letting it happen.
I've got a long way to go but I'm in one piece at the moment.
Thanks again - it means a lot.

Oh that's such good news, that you're getting time off etc. It is so frustrating knowing that you could have done something earlier but really, you have done what you have had to do, and you're getting the help you need 
I'm so glad you're alright. Not out of the woods yet, but friendlier trees?

Yes. Surprised myself there...
Along the lines of friendly trees 
our daughter (nearly 10) told us at teatime that mum's food is gorgeous because her gorgeous germs are transferred from her to the food making it gorgeous.
I like the idea of gorgeous germs!

Hi acartfart
I am much better than I was three weeks ago. I sought help, which was the right thing to do and I will probably get back to work in a few weeks after I have resolved some issues there.
Interestingly I have found exercise helps a lot (cycling and swimming).
