I'm organising a mini-meet in Lux for my 42th birthday this year - probly Saturday 11th October (the meet, that is, my birthday is *definitely* the 12th...)

You are, of course, cordially invited! Any suggestions for what we might do in the afternoon?


Also, this weekend, I'm tap dancing with the Pirate Productions cabaret theatre in Gasperich ( front row, second from the right...that's your left....)if you fancy coming along

Ooh! Exciting . I don't know if I come to the production at the weekend, with homework and cricket matches etc., but I'll see.

The mini-meet sounds exciting too. Well if we assume there's a fair chance of rain then how about a visit to the Casemates (the ones on the bridge) followed by the History of Art Museum? I don't know what these researchers like . There's other museums as well. If it's not raining a walk in the Petrusse valley is always nice, pointing out where nymphs used to make love to Luxembourg's King etc.

Or we could go somewhere different entirely like Echternach, though that would probably be much more troublesome transport-wise. What did you have in mind?

Yeah, I'd thought about Echternach or Vianden, but transport wise it's easier to stay in the city. And even just wandering around by the palace, Clasuen, take the lift down to the Grund...

The new museum's lovely, that's a good idea. I'd thought then for the older ones maybe some wine tasting. And dinner.

Yeah, there's plenty to do in Luxembourg and you don't have to plan it out because it's all so packed together in a small city. Do you know if there's anything happening on the Place d'Armes that day? There's often music on in the bandstand which would be nice for lunch. I don't know what you adult types like doing .

OK 2 p.m at the new museum, followed by a wander around the old town.

7 p.m cocktails/ something to eat at Chi-chis

I'll try to make some of it. I'm tidying up the cricket ground, because it's the end of the season, but hopefully I'll get there on time .
