Aaaaaah, that.
Did you read my adventures in Speed-dating? Well after chatting to 23 guys not one of them saw me as a potential romance. Add that to the other couple of rejections I've had this year, and I decided it's time to reinvent myself as an eccentric old curmudgeon, admit that I'm never going to have sex again and take up crocheting.
How's you? What's the temperature like - has the water frozen yet? Here it's still hovering above zero, which makes it a warmer than average start to December for Lux.

Awww... silly boys! Ever thought of becoming a member of P.U.D.D.I.N.G.? A749784
It's exceptionally warm here too - hovering above zer, as you say, and a grey blanket of clouds covering the sky most days, with a drizzle every now and then. We've had a few days of freezing, but that was almost 2 months ago...

Are you following this year's clendar (I have to tyoe it that way now!)in Ask h2g2?
Open to suggestions.....

Excellent! Splendid! Brilliant!
What better way to spread grumpiness among your former co-members than to *quit* the P.U.D.D.I.N.G.! Why did *I* never think of that?
Maybe I should try *threatening* to quit? I'd never actually do it, because I enjoy being grumpy every now and then, but...

Beatrice Posted Dec 9, 2003
Seriously, I wish I could be grunpy, but it is so out of character it takes a huge amount of energy, and I don't feel any better about it afterwards.
No, I have sleepless nights, instead
Got home yesterday after a beautiful day visiting Strasbourg, to find that my son had received a 54 euro fine for an out of date bus pass.
I didnt shout, or even feel angry. Just miffed at myself for not noticing it had expired (but then it's hard to notice something that's in someone else's wallet.....)

*dusts off old thread*
Ha! *she says, triumphantly* I just knew there'd be a Greetings... thread somewhere around here!
Beatrice? You know, I would never have guessed, but one of the Salonistas kindly pointed out that you're one of the 'oldies'
So how's life these days?

Beatrice Posted Feb 19, 2007
Blimey, it's funny reading through old threads - how much has changed! But then, that was 4 years ago
I've moved back to Northern Ireland, fallen in love, and we're about to complete on a new house this Friday.
Son and I had a major falling out, and he now lives with his Dad (although we're fairly civil to each other)
Work is boring but pays the bills. Weather is wet and grey. And I'm just about to bore the pants off my work colleagues with a DVD of us diving in the Red Sea
How's beautiful Sweden?

New love *and* new house?
Sorry to hear about your son and you not getting along - I remember him collecting drink - uh - sticks?
Diving in the Red Sea... been there, done that - it was great!
Sweden? Snow, mostly cloudy, temperature undecidedly swaying between thawing and freezing...

Off now to head aaaaaallllll the way up to the North coast - my daughter's been doing a weekend long drama course which ends with a production of Joseph and his Amazing Techniclour Dreamcoat, tonight.
Which'll be nice. But it's an hour and a bit drive from here, and then a 2 hour drive home somewhere towards midnight

Oh my, had to go back a bit in your message list to find this conversation thread, but I was absolutely sure we had one!
Today's NaJoPoMo brougth back memories from when I was very active dancing Flamenco, and I seem to remember you've been active on-stage too.
So I had an idea for an Edited Entry: Stage make-up
Because I remember how much you had to overdo it compared with a casual everyday make-up so as not end up looking all pale and plain on stage due to the spotlights.
What say you? A joint entry?
And here's the music video that reminded me of those days; Annie Lennox in 'Why':

Just noticed it has your old user name in the subject line, I hope you don't mind?
Ah, that brought back memories of the h2g2 calendar...

Beatrice Posted Nov 28, 2013
Ah, old threads never die, eh?
Not sure that I'd be much help with stage makeup, but I'm happy to have a look at what you come up with.
