It's been a while, but guess who's back!
Posted Mar 23, 2004
By the 'eck/Stone o' crows, I've been Absent Without Leave for a long time from this ickle corner of cyberspace like George W. from the Texas National Guard (or was it Alabama's?) !
Moreover, I don't really have a very good excuse! I guess we Space-rangers can't remain in one place for too long!
Although, I guess the thing that has tempted me back is the recent publication of my very first solo Edited Guide Entry!! It took a while, but we finally got there in the end!
It is about the Comunidad Valenciana in Spain - A1151759 - (unedited version still to be found in My Space @ A1075024). Hope y'all enjoy it and find it informative, but when you've finished reading the articles, why not tell me what u thought?! And yes, I can take criticism! 'Course, if you don't happen to like it, I can always blame it on the editors! Hehe...bwahahahahahahahaaaa!!
Thanx 4 reading and Bonne Nuit!

Friends of h2g2, Unite!
Posted Dec 31, 2002
Hello again!
Another journal entry which can only mean another momentous occasion to celebrate in my h2g2 life. This time I, one Buzz Lightyear , have been officially accepted into the United Friends of h2g2 Community. Yippeeeeee!!!! I hear you shout (or rather, more likely , oh no not that idiot again! ) which is rather appropriate as I have often stressed that I always come in peace. Alas! I know what you're thinking. You're thinking what took me so long, aren't you? I know as I can hardly believe it myself! I may be an International Space Ranger accustomed to fighting the evil of the Mighty Zurg, but I always endeavour to be as friendly & forthcoming as I possibly can. Meanwhile, this induction to the "United Friends" Community just makes it all official. Consequently from this day onward, I vow to make an extra effort to spread & among all my fellow h2g2 researchers.
If you feel that I break my Mission Promise to you in any way, pray do tell by dropping me a message off here in my Personal Space or, if you prefer, by replying to the message where you see the offence committed. I hope that I do not have many such messages of this sort as Buzz Lightyear would be subsequently failing in my mission. Thank-you all for your time in reading this.
& to One and All!!
Happy & Prosperous New Year 2003 to One & All on this New Year's Eve! Take care of yourselves & God Bless.

Joining the Revolution, Comrades!!
Posted Dec 9, 2002
HOOORAY!!!!!!!!!!! Scream it from the rooftops, yell it at the tops of your voices for...
At last I, Buzz Lightyear , am proclaimed an Official Member of the Thingite Cause. Plus, as if that wasn't enough, this spaceranger was Number #200 to swell the ranks!!
If you are a fellow thingite reading this, I am also to be known among you by the title: Admiral Carpe Diem!! Always fancying a naval role (no sniggering now!), I seek to turn the forces @ sea towards the cause & use them to its advantage. Of course, being an Admiral & thereby placing myself at the summit of the fleet does set me up for a rather big fall if I should be failing. However, I am nothing if not committed & the good of the Cause is always uppermost in my mind. Nonetheless, in the meantime, I seek to establish command of my fleet & lead from the front as by example accompanying my crews into battle with them at every venture. I hereby declare not to let the side down!!
Here, for future reference (& I should not forget upon pain of torture! ), will stand in summary of the Manifesto as proposed by the Thingite Uprising. We, of which I am now a proud member , only seek the renaming of the Days of the Week in accordance with their rightful names. Henceforth, within the Thingite circle & to others to whom we speak, they shalt be known thus:
(i)The days @ the Weekend are to be called "Doobry" & "Dontbry";
(ii) Subsequently the five weekdays are to be known - "Sodit, Wimpey, Wibble, Thing [from which the Movement derives its name] & Poets."
I should also like it to be known here that, as an Admiral in HM Navy & as necessity dictates, I would gladly lay down my life for the wellbeing of the Movement to advance its principles to the point of success. We Shall Not Fail!! May Nelson be proud of me.
& to the Thingite Movement!
Vive la Révolution!
Sentiments as expressed by Yours Truly,
Admiral Carpe Diem [aka Buzz Lightyear on the rest of H2g2]
Now it is time for me to inspect my fleet & introduce myself to my crews...To Infinity & Beyond!!
