Hi Peanut and Elektra, it's me, Willem again! They set me free on Wednesday! So ... I'm back and having to build a new and hopefully better life. I will soon start sending in Colours of Wildlife articles again ... for now I still need to rest and recover. This thing hit me like a speeding train. Will post a journal entry or two about it.

Hello folks! Thanks for the messages. I'm by no means out of the woods yet. Had a pretty traumatic visit today. Again I doubt if I could ever be 'accommodated' in the society I'm living in. I wish I could just be allowed to live and to create art and writing and that at least some people would get value from all of that. I wish I could be with people, around people who are willing to really respect me and my views. Not make me feel like I am pitiful and deserving of my misery. And I really don't have the energy to deal with this, not now, still feeling raw and ragged and needing support and encouragement ...

And here you are, my wonderful international friends, but you are all far away!

In person, I'm sure you would find a lot of us annoying and useless as diversions and probably worse for your state of mind.

Well what there was of it was right tasty! Next year I'm going to add some peat moss to loosen the good topsoil DG's brother-in-law loaded it up with and spray against those lousy deer who got all our tomato plants. They are pretty but when they over-populate they ruin a lot of vegatation. No wonder people get annoyed by elephants---these guys are bad enough. I no longer regard Bambi as cute.

I really hope that next time you get some decent-sized cucumbers! Do you like pickles?

I do like dill ones, but as I am trying to cut down on sodium levels I can't enjoy them as often as I did when I was younger. I never liked the sweet varieties.
