I'm a married lady
Posted Aug 17, 2005

It's very strange, my new signature looks terrible, and I have to concentrate on it so
I was terrified the morning of the wedding. On the way to the registry office I kept on texting Andy to make sure he was still coming! But it all went smoothly, so far as I could tell... well, apart from that little Ryan objected when they asked if there was any reason we shouldn't be married
I was ever so pleased everyone maneged to get there fine though.
I want to put my photos online but am so out of it I've no idea which website to use. Anyone have any suggestions?

House Hunting Terminology
Posted Jul 10, 2005

For example...
"Pets allowed"- Who cares? The carpet already smells of cat pee.
"Children allowed"- one of the rooms has Winnie the Pooh wallpaper.
"Cheerful"- ugly.
"Rear Yard area"- there's enough room for a wheelie bin and the stuff they've ripped from the inside to be dumped.
...not that I'm fed up or anything

Goodbye

They all said it was a blessing that he went- the Altzhaimers was making him swear at everyone towards the end. But I still don't think starving yourself to death is the best way to go. Well, that with the Pneumonia and MRSA... His coffin looked so small yesterday.
I love you Grandpa.

Bad weekend
Posted Mar 20, 2005

Hey guys, know I'm not online much anymore.
Went to see my grandpa down in Nottingham QMC last weekend. He'd had pneumonia and hasn't eaten or drunk in 2 weeks, refuses all of it. Someone told my grandma on Friday he'd finally started and could soon go home, so I was quite looking forward to seeing him. Got there- refusing food and drink still- you can see he's starving himself. Shouted at mum if she tried to give him any. He was still quite witty though- even called my mother a jezebel at one point
But I don't think he'll be with us much longer.
Got home- Andy met me off the train. Walked back to the flat with his bro. I did think it was a bit weird Andy had left the window wide open, but he remembered cooking and opening it a little bit.
Then he called me into the bedroom
My jewelry box had been pulled out from it's hiding place. Pretty much all of it was gone, barring the cheap stuff everyone accumulates. We think we disturbed whoever it was as we found a lot of it by the back window. My favourite 3 colour gold necklace was there, along with the bits my dead grandma had given me.
Not so lucky though- they'd made off with a thick silver necklace that mum had scrimped and saved for when she used to live in Sheffield. I think she's really upset.
And, of course, my engagement ring.
