Sorry, I've still not replied to your latest email. fb wouldn't let me open lexulous earlier, so in the end I logged out.

It would seem so - we converted to e-mails. I am glad that (reading your journal) the weekend away and celebrations went well. Things are up and down here. Fatima is a lot better (thanks to Fouad staying with us, and she can talk) and work is looking optimistic even though money is still awaited and causing a day-to-day problem.

We have have had very positive responses to the web site and already have one job as a direct result of it. However, we are still working on the other bits of it and it keeps both Fouad and me busy. Fortunately he is one of those people who work all night and I am one that starts early and goes to bed early, so there is not much conflict over the computer use. I hope to get the other one fixed tomorrow or the next day.

If you look at my Facebook page, you can see the card we made for Fatima (actually the final one is 'haut coiffure domecile'. The sooner she can start working the better (for her) but she may go and stay with some relatives who live in the North (between Tetouan and Ceuta). I think that a complete break for her would be for the best and then she can come back and go round and see all her old customers. I think it could turn out to be a very good business for her as nobody else is doing the same thing and there are about a million hairdressing shops (like coffee shops) as they are just 'fronts' to launder money from the informal economy (75% of the total economy here).

I went to another 'cocktail party' at the Consul's residence the other night. I ad written to her about how appalled I had been by both the British embassy in Rabat and the way I was treated. She agreed and said that she had sent a copy of my letter to the Ambassador recommending that the Consul General there (the man who refused to even give me his name) should be replaced!!!

Sadly Biddy (the Consul General here in Casa) is retiring in July and God alone knows what we will get next.

I have to go and see about some new work tomorrow with a place that is linked with the University of Sunderland and actually issues British university degrees, here in Morocco - the only place.

Otherwise we are well. Despite the fact that there is a monumental thunderstorm going on at the moment, summer has arrived and I am warm again.

I'm really sorry - I didn't see it. I have not got round to even looking at HooToo recently but I must get down to it now that there is a bit of peace in the flat!!
